Abstract
Mo-Cu composite was successfully prepared through rapid microwave infiltration. The effects of pre-sintered skeleton, initial infiltration position, and infiltration temperature on the properties of Mo-Cu composite were investigated in depth. The results showed that Mo skeleton with optimal porosity could be obtained after the conventional sintering at 1 400 ℃ for 1.5 hours. Moreover, the more evenly distributed Cu phase could be achieved via bottom infiltration under the protection of Ar/H2 atmosphere. Mo-Cu composite infiltrated at 1 250 ℃ for 1 hour demonstrated excellent overall properties and more uniform microstructure. Therefore, microwave infiltration should be deemed as an economic and applicable method, as it could greatly shorten infiltration time and economize on production resources and costs.
