Research progress for vanadium extraction from vanadium leach solution by solvent extraction

  • The existing forms of vanadium in the leaching solution are usually determined by raw materials, leaching techniques and conditions.Solvent extraction is more and more popular in vanadium metallurgy due to its advantages of extraction capacity, high selectivity, easy recycling and high product purity. In light of the vanadium leaching solution from different raw materials, the author summarized the research status of vanadium extraction from various extractant in certain extraction mechanism. This paper discussed the effects of factors such as solution acidity, synergist, extraction time, impurity element andpretreatment on vanadium extraction and separation. The new method ofvanadium extraction from vanadium leaching solution and their future development were also introduced.
