Abstract
Ion adsorption type rare earth ore in the south of Jiangxi is rich in medium and heavy rare earth elements, which has high economic value and strategic significance. On the basis of consulting a large amount of literature data, this paper introduced the speciation and leaching behavior of aluminum in the ion adsorption type rare earth deposit, and the effect of aluminum on the production of rare earth industry was described. The research and development of aluminum removal technology in the leaching process of ion adsorption type rare earth ore were systematically described, and the existing aluminum removal technology was analyzed and summarized. It is recommended that the future ion adsorption type rare earth ore removal technology should be developed environmentally friendly, and the recovery and commercialization of the product of aluminum removal resource should be realized.
