Abstract
Iron impurities in kaolin seriously affect the quality of kaolin products, which are generally in form of weak magnetic ore, such as magnetite, hematite. The magnetic field intensity produced by conventional magnetic separators is insufficient, and it is difficult to separate the weak magnetic iron impurities from kaolin. When the magnetic intensity is very high, it can remove all kinds of weak magnetic iron impurities, and then improves the quality of kaolin products and the technical and economic benefits of enterprises. Experimental study shows that the iron content in the superconducting magnetic separation kaolin decreases from 1.04 % to 0.53 %, the calcination whiteness increases to 85.6, which meets the enamel industrial grade TT-0 standard.
