Synthesis, characterization of n-NdF3 and its' utilization for uric acid's electrochemical detection

  • Nano-material of NdF3 (n-NdF3) was synthesized via hydrothermal method and employed to fabricate the biosensor for the electrochemical detection of uric acid (UA). The structure and component of the obtained material were characterized by SEM, XRD and EDS. The fabrication process was monitored by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The electrochemical behaviors of UA on the modified electrode were full studied. When employed for the simultaneously electrochemical detection of dopamine (DA) and UA, the experimental results proved that the biosensor exhibited two well-separated oxidation peak for each other. This suggests that the synthesized n-NdF3 shows high sensitivity and good catalytic activity towards the electrochemical oxidation of UA, and the biosensor could be used to detect DA and UA simultaneously.
