Research progress of chloridizing volatilization

  • Chloridizing volatilization is one important method of pyrometallurgy, which is widely used in metallurgical production for its unique advantages, such as improving the grade of metal ores, recycleing metallurgical waste and removing metal impurities, etc. There are two kinds of methods for chloridizing volatilization:chloridizing roasting and chloridizing refining. Applications of chloridizing volatilization were introduced and reaction mechanisms of three systems (“solid-gas”/ “solid-solid”/ “solid-liquid”) were discussed. Reaction mechanisms of gas and solid chloridizing agents were also compared and analyzed. Advantages and disadvantages of chlorinating volatilization were summarized by summarizing the previous research results and progress of predecessors in order to provide help for the subsequent research.
