Recovery of ion Ion-exchangeable Phases rare earth from kaolin concentrate

  • Kaolin concentrate has the characteristics of fine grain size,high viscosity,higher permeability and poor performance of solid-liquid separation,hard aluminum. Southern kaolin is often accompanied by rare earth. There is not a set of mature technology applied in the industrial production to solve how to extract qualified rare earth from kaolin concentrate at present. Based on the characteristics of rare earth in kaolin ore,researchers had explored a set of mature technology process and the completion of the production line to provide technical support for the recovery of ionic rare earth in kaolin concentrate by the laboratory test,expansion test and industrial test. Both the leaching liquid and kaolin concentrate were added to the pulp pool for stirring and leaching,then got the filter cake and filtrate with plate and frame filter press pulp. The filter cake is the kaolin concentrate which was extracted of rare earth,and the filtrate will be the rare earth products when it was subsequent treated. At the same time,the production line has been completed,which has produced more than 10 tons of rare earth,which provides an effective technique for recovering ionic rare earth in kaolin concentrate.
