Abstract
It is a new topic to research the interlayer stability of the steeply inclined adjacent orebody in the mining process. The HuiBaoLing iron mine was selected as an engineering background. The stress distribution of ore-rock and the deformation of the interlayer in the mining disturbance were revealed through the numerical simulation and field monitoring techniques. It is found that the stress would be slightly decreased than before in the upper part of the interlayer after mining, however, the stress would be relative concentrated and slightly increased in the bottom of the interlayer, and in these places it is easy to cause the deformation and destruction of the interlay. In the surrounding rock of the ore body, it generated a stress decrease zone, and in the deep surrounding rock that away from the ore body, it generated a stress increased area. The interlay is mainly in a shape of "bow" shape and bending deformation after mining, and the total deformation of the lower-wall rocks than upper-wall rock, so the reasonable mining sequence should be from the upper-wall to the lower-wall of interlay. The results provide some reference value for the similar mines.
