Application of modern instrument analysis in the titanium photocatalyst

  • This article summarized the characteristics, limitations, structure characteristics, activity evaluation and application progress of titaniu m photocatalyst of modern instrumental analysis over the past fifteen years including the uv-vis spectrophotometry determination for the catalyst performance, electron microscope and X-ray diffraction method for the observations of crystal form and particle size, spectroscope for the determination of catalyst component, vibrating sample magnetometer for the characterization of catalyst magnetism, thermal analysis method for evaluation of thermal stability of catalyst, as well as scanning electron microscopy com- pared with the transmission electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectrometer in contrast to the X-ray diffraction method, and their merits, demerits and roles, etc, providing guidance of characterization method for the future researchers in the study of titanium catalyst.
