Practice of improving the lead and zinc recovery

  • Since starting production of lead and zinc system of Yinshan mining ore dressing plant, lead-zinc metal recovery rate becomes low as the ore grade is gradually decreasing. The recovery rate of lead in lead concentrates is about 81.5 %, and the recovery rate of zinc in zinc concentrates is around 86.5 %. According to the analysis of the composition and dissemination characteristics of the ore, and with the continuous improvement of the grinding fineness and pharmaceutical technology, the recovery of lead and zinc gradually increases in the absence of funding changes to the beneficiation flowsheet and equipment conditions. After improvement, lead concentrate recovery rate reaches 86.93 %, zinc recovery rate reaches 88.05 %, and the associated silver in lead concentrate recovery increases from 60.16 % to 65.59 %, which not only makes effective use of mineral resources, but also creates considerable economic benefits for the enterprise.
