Research progress of waste concrete utilization

  • It is the basis of effective recycling to recycle the sand and cement particles from the waste concrete as the raw materials of the recycled aggregates and cement. In order to achieve the performance of natural sand and gravel aggregate, recycled aggregate particles required plastic, crack filling and remove adhesion of cement slurry and other physical and chemical intensive processes. The waste concrete powder needs to be activated by heating and exciting agent so that it can achieve the activity of cement raw material requirements. After reinforcement and stimulation, the recycled aggregates and recycled concrete can be used to produce concrete mixing greening, wall block and any other renewable products of concrete. Some effective ways to recycle waste concrete as materials in the construction industry and key problems and research trends of the resource recycling ways on strengthening the recycled aggregates and motivating the recycled cement are reviewed.
