Application of nanotechnology in mineral processing

  • This paper introduces the related concepts of nanotechnology and its development course, and expounds the special properties of nanoparticles, nanobubbles and nanomaterials, which endow them with more advantages than that of conventional materials in terms of adsorption, catalysis, strength and hardness. The application of nanoparticle flotation, nanobubble flotation, nanofiltering and nanomaterials in equipment accessories in mineral processing are reviewed in this paper. Nanoparticles and nanobubbles with special size ensure that they can better contact with the microgranular mineral to improve the recovery rate of microgranular mineral. Nanomaterials can increase replacement cycle of the equipment. Based on nanotechnology in mineral processing simulation experiment and the analysis of the laboratory test, the expected application of nanotechnology in mineral processing production are also discussed.
