Optimizing electrochemical properties in Li-rich Mn-based cathode material

  • The precursor of MCO3(M=Ni,Co,Mn),which was prepared by a co-precipitation method with carbonates as starting materials, and lithium carbonate were mixed well by a high-speed mixer. A series of Li-rich Mn-based cathode materials LiLi0.167Ni0.225Co0.05Mn0.558-yTiyO2 were obtained by high-temperature reaction. The substitution of Mn by Ti with y=0.02 in LULi0167Ni0.225Co0.05Mn0.558_/TiJO2 significantly improved cycling performance and rate properties of the cathode materials, and the discharge capacity decreased with higher content of Ti.
