Effect of basicity in high chromium vanadium-titanium magnetite on sintering process

  • In order to explore the suitable basicity of high chromium vanadium-titanium magnetite in a factory, the influence of different basicity in high chromium vanadium-titanium magnetite on production index、 sinter strength and the load softing property is studied by sintering pot test. The results show that the sintering yield、abrasion index、RDI-0.5 and -3.15 are decreased, while the vertical sintering speed、utilization coeffi-cient、tumbler strength and RDI+6.3 are increased with the increasing of sintering basicity. These is positive significance for blast furnace own to the shifting down of soft melting zone ,the turning narrow of soft melting and the permeability increasing. Analyzing all the indexing in the different basicity, the sinter basicity is more appropriate at 1.9~2.0.
