Flotation recovery of scheelite with combined collector

  • The beneficiation experimental study is carried out according to the characteristics of a certain skarn type scheelite, in which the scheelite is finely and unevenly disseminated with the gangue minerals, such as fluorite, calcite and garnet, in the condition of granular, polyparticulate, star-dotted or impregnation. Based on analysis of the properties of the ore and the conditional experiments, three collectors are compared in the experiment including 731 oxidized paraffin soap, sodium oleate and combined collector LGW. As is shown in the results, combined collector LGW is better in collecting scheelite. Furthermore, comparative tests are conducted including heating concentration and normal cleaner, both using LGW. In heating concentration, scheelite concentrate with WO3 grade of 69.20% and recovery of 78.30% are obtained by treating rough concentrate obtained by closed-circuit consisting of one roughing, two concentrates and two scavengings. In normal cleaner, after pretreated by magnetic field and a long-time agitation, concentrate with WO3 grade of 59% and recovery of 79.60% is achieved with five regular cleaners.
