Abstract
The stable effect of Lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), arsenic (As) on the heavy metal polluted soils in Chenzhou Hunan were stabilized with a noval stabilizer of TMT-ferric sulfate. The results showed that TMT(aqueous solution containing 15%TMT)decreased the available contents of Pb, Cd more than 60%, but the available contents of As were not decreased. the available contents of Pb,Cd were decreased more than 90% with 35.7 g/kg ferric sulfate and 0.1 L/kg TMT. The available contents of Pb, Cd were decreased significantly with increasing soil water content. 60 days later, the available contents of Pb, Cd were decreased more than 80% and the available contents of As were decreased 60% with 35.7 g/kg ferric sulfate and 0.04 L/kg TMT when the soil water content was 70% of field capacity capacity lasting 60 days..
