Causes and reduction measures of dilution in GANNAN tungsten ore mining

  • Underdeveloped mining technology, lagged management and unskilled staff led to the high ore dilution rare, which led to the increased cost of transport, lifting, crushing and pre-cast scrap. They are the major causes for the high mining and processing costs for southern Jiangxi's tungsten ores. This paper put forward some measures to reduce dilution depending on different vein thickness, including optimizing and improving mining methods, strengthening mining construction and management, technical staff skills training. The dilution rate was reduced sharply from 67.7V to 11.87% which improved significantly the production efficiency.
