Vanadium extraction from alkalinity system

  • The study was the progress of vanadium extraction from alkaline system with the MTOAC as the extractant. The effects of various factors on vanadium extraction were investigated such as extractant concentration, organic phase composition, pH value, oscillation time and phase ratio. The results show: pH is about 11.5, the organic phase comprising 15% MTOAC+3.5% DL-2-octanol+81.5% sulfonated kerosene, the phase ratio reaches 1.0 and the oscillation time attains 5 min, the single stage extraction rate of vanadium can reach more than 90%. With the solution of containing 0.5 mol/L NaCl + 1.0mol/L NaOH as the stripping system, more than 95% of the single stage stripping rate of the loaded organic phase can be obtained.
