Abstract
It is a social consensus to reduce GHG emissions to fight global climate change. Based on ISO14064 quantitative evaluation criteria, this paper studies the GHG emission out of producing 1 t copper with pyrometallurgy process in Zijinshan Gold Copper Mine. Life cycle assessment method is adopted in the research. From the perspectives of industrial chain and technology process, the GHG direct and indirect emission ratios from the stages of mining, mineral processing, smelting, refining, electrolytic are 4.33 %, 58.62 %, 32.12 %, 2.42 %, 2.42 % respectively. The mineral processing and smelting stages account for 90.74 %. GHG emissions reduction of copper industry is discussed. The following are some conclusions: the direct GHG emission source can be reduced by using circulating technology; the construction of closed copper ecological industry chain can reduce indirect GHG emission; Establishing copper vein industry can reduce other indirect GHG emission.
