Impurities inhibited leacning of the leach liquor of the weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ore by adding aluminum inhibitor

  • Aluminum inhibitors, which are suitable for the ion-typed rare earth in South China, were added asleaching agents in the leaching process of the weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth. The adding of inhibitorsaffects little on the RE leaching rate. The leaching solution (Al3+<2 mg/L, Fe3+<0.3 mg/L) was obtained with theimpurity removal rate reaching 98 %. The leaching solution was precipitated by ammonium bicarbonate withoutpurification process. The carbonated RE is corresponding to national quality requirements. The technologyeffectively simplify the production process for reducing RE loss by 5 %~15 %.
