On the low temperature reduction degradation of sinter in high reduction potential atmosphere

Abstract
The low temperature reduction degradation experiments have been carried on in high reduction potential atmosphere. By examined changes of RDI+6.3、RDI+3.15 and RDI-0.5, the pulverization behavior of sinter in upper part of the oxygen blast furnace have been explored. The results showed that: the low temperature reduction degradation of sinter was significantly improved in oxygen blast furnace atmosphere, but the RDI +3.15 of sinter in oxygen blast furnace atmosphere was measured up to 82.7 % which would not affect the production of oxygen blast furnace. W ith increasing of H2 and CO contents in the reducing atmosphere, the low temperature reduction degradation of sinter was significantly improved.
