On soil contamination by heavy metal and microbial remediation technology
Heavy metal hid in the soil poses great potential threats to the ecological environment and human survival. This paper summarizes the general sources, chemical speciation and environmental behavior of heavy metals in soil by discussing the advances, effectiveness and feasibility of using microbial techniques for remediation of heavy metal contaminated soils.
