Abstract
Carboxymethyl chitosan -dimethyl-diallyl-ammonium chloride(CMCTS -DMDAAC) was prepared via graft reaction of dimethyl -diallyl -ammonium chloride onto the chain of carboxymethyl with ammonium cerium nitrate as initiator. The reactive conditions between the carbox -ymethyl chitosan and quaternizational reagent DMDAAC was optimized by three factors and three levels orthogonal experiment as follows:the reaction temperature is 90 ℃; reaction pH value is 7.0;reaction time is 2 h; the initiator amount was 1.5 % of the chitosan quantity; monomer amount was 1.5 times as chitosan quantity. The product structure was characterized by using IR, UV, X-ray diffraction, TG/DTA and SEM.
