Determination of Thorium in Rare Earth Concentrates by ICP-AES
This paper studies an analytical method to determine thorium content in rare earth concentrates by ICPAES. The optimum operation parameters of instrument are tested by selecting the analytical lines. The recoveries of standard addition can reach 98% ~101% with RSD less than 3%. Being convenient, rapid and accurate, the determination method is fit for thorium range between 0.30%~8.00%.
